Tenerife - 25.03.2008 - The heavy rain that fell during much of the morning caused problems on the ring-road outisde La Laguna and on the TF-2 link connecting the two motorways. In the south-east of the island, traffic was disrupted due to temporary flooding of stretches of several main roads, although no serious collisions were reported. The smaller islands were worst affected by the downpours, with 35 litres recorded at El Hierro airport and 26 in Mazo (La Palma). Intermittent rain is anticipated until Friday, according to the Met Office here.
