Canary Islands - 24.03.2008 - The region's Observatory on Immigration says that the sharp decline in the construction industry has already led to the departure of scores of immigrants from North and Sub-Saharan Africa. According to the Observatory, unemployment among immigrants has risen 33% in the past year and many are now considering their options due to the lack of prospects here.
