more details
Playa del Inglés - 19.03.2008 - The dolphin was cared for temporarily at the Unit's special facility nearby and then taken by boat to a spot seven kilometres out to sea, where a group of its colleagues had been sighted a few hours beforehand. The biologist who led the rescue effort said that it bonded quickly with the other dolphins and had no problems returning to the water after its ordeal. None out of ten dolphins that beach fail to recover and usually die within hours due to stress and disorientation.
